Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luka Coget started the match with the kick off. When Jean-Michel Dayde fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meynac's protests and gave Jean-Michel Dayde a yellow card for diving instead. Terry Santerre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luka Coget, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 16 minutes into the match Jean-Pierre Rabet climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Gildas Rochat. 22 minutes into the match, Meynac's goal looked a bit too open when Carl More came free, but Terry Santerre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 played minutes Meynac got a freekick which was hit by Ghislain Masse. In the 28th minute, Jean-Pierre Rabet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Billy Paget hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Jean-Pierre Rabet might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gildas Rochat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jean-Pierre Rabet ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, Meynac's Gildas Rochat threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ramzi Babonneau, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ramzi Babonneau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gildas Rochat having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Jean-Pierre Rabet got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramzi Babonneau in the 42nd minute of play forced Gaillard's goalkeeper Gildas Rochat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Terry Santerre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luka Coget, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramzi Babonneau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Gaillard booed when Meynac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryan Gueret didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Gaillard's Stephane Anton got a free kick in the 57th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Meynac's Jean-Pierre Rabet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gildas Rochat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Meynac booed when Gaillard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billy Paget didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean-Pierre Rabet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gildas Rochat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Jean-Pierre Rabet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meynac's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean-Pierre Rabet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gildas Rochat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 68 minutes into the match, Meynac's Ramzi Babonneau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gildas Rochat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 69 minutes of play Gaillard's Billy Paget was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Billy Paget hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Gildas Rochat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramzi Babonneau, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Meynac's goalkeeper Terry Santerre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carl More. 80 minutes into the match, Gaillard's Carl More sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Terry Santerre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 84 minutes into the game, Ramzi Babonneau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Gildas Rochat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gildas Rochat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theophile Viallet in the 92nd minute of the match. Gaillard's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
