Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nathan Vaugeois kicked off to start the match. Remi Catoire came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Briey's Nathan Vaugeois. But to his dismay, Nathan Vaugeois quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Nathan Vaugeois took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remi Catoire. Remi Catoire dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Remi Catoire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nathan Vaugeois, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Jimmy Coumes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Opio's supporters rose to their feet, but Jimmy Coumes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raphael Piraud breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sylvain Eymard hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After 36 minutes, Nathan Vaugeois mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Briey and the Opio players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Briey's Nathan Vaugeois got a free kick in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Igor Pinson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Opio's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Pinson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raphael Piraud breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th match minute, Briey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sylvain Eymard to maneuver through the defense. If Jimmy Coumes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigue Plisson charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodrigue Plisson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nathan Vaugeois struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Remi Catoire didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Briey. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jimmy Coumes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Raphael Piraud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Regis Boutin in the 55th minute of play. Igor Pinson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute of the match Maximilien Barbe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Remi Catoire skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sylvain Eymard during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th minute, Sylvain Eymard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jimmy Coumes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Malcom Courtecuisse got free with Remi Catoire in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Igor Pinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Antonin Chambaud fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Briey's protests and gave Antonin Chambaud a yellow card for diving instead. Raphael Piraud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Pinson in the 80th minute of the match. Opio's Remi Catoire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathan Vaugeois in the 82nd minute of play. When Aime Floret fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Opio's protests and gave Aime Floret a yellow card for diving instead. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Opio! Georges Carneiro shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Malcom Courtecuisse might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remi Catoire. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Malcom Courtecuisse ran back to his position shaking his head. Steven Ribeyre kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. With 98 minutes on the clock, Dimitri Goncalves commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 97 minutes into the game, one of Opio:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Georges Carneiro shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When Nathan Vaugeois came up free with the goalie in the 102nd minute, the Briey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nathan Vaugeois couldn't finish the play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
