But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Lepine couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Alleyriat's Gustave Vidot got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute, Reynald Chiffoleau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ernest Canu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Matthieu Beaussart hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the game, Alleyriat's Jean-Pierre Elie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Darren Monti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 27th minute, Denis Lepine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Ernest Canu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alleyriat's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernest Canu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darren Monti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 34 minutes, Ernest Canu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alleyriat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernest Canu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Djimmy Demeyer fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alleyriat's protests and gave Djimmy Demeyer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th match minute, Alleyriat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djimmy Demeyer to maneuver through the defense. Denis Lepine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Alleyriat getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Djimmy Demeyer hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Augustin Israel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joey Le Mentec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denis Lepine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Augustin Israel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Auberchicourt's goalkeeper Darren Monti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alleyriat's Augustin Israel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Lepine in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Auberchicourt's zone, Ernest Canu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darren Monti came out of the goal and Ernest Canu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darren Monti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernest Canu in the 72nd minute. Denis Lepine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustin Israel having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Alleyriat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Augendre to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Alex Augendre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denis Lepine scored 1-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Augustin Israel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Lepine in the 86th minute of play forced Alleyriat's goalkeeper Augustin Israel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 88 minutes Alleyriat's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fabien Rouiller who took care of the corner kick. Louis Ragot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustin Israel having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, Antonin Peguet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alleyriat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Auberchicourt the free kick. After a rather tough play, Alleyriat's Antonin Peguet got a free kick in the 96th minute. 98 minutes into the game, Joey Le Mentec cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Augustin Israel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Alleyriat players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Auberchicourt.
