The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Romeo Roullier was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Gitonniére got a corner. Mounine's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rudy Therond ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 57th match minute, Gitonniére was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernard Laugier to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the game, Olivier Enjolras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gitonniére's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mounine the free kick. The supporters of Mounine booed when Gitonniére was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olivier Enjolras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florent Picot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Roullier in the 63rd minute of play. Alain Barthez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florent Picot having to interfere. If Alain Barthez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79thth minute of the game Gildas Enjolras who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gitonniére's Paul-Henri Jacquelin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cyprien Munoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Mounine's Gildas Enjolras sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paul-Henri Jacquelin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Karl Neumann kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gitonniére's goalkeeper Paul-Henri Jacquelin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gildas Enjolras's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul-Henri Jacquelin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Gitonniére players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
