After having played for 7 minutes, Edmond Guillemard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rouret's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmond Guillemard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pierre-Olivier Gombert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmond Bodin having to interfere. Edmond Bodin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre-Olivier Gombert, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. If Edmond Guillemard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominique Lepeltier in the 29th minute of play forced Rungis's goalkeeper Gabriel Filippi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmond Guillemard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Filippi having to make a save. Gabriel Filippi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominique Lepeltier in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Hugues Sailly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dominique Lepeltier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Hassan Stéphan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rungis's supporters rose to their feet, but Hassan Stéphan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmond Bodin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Bernard Piednoel charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernard Piednoel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 52 played minutes Rungis got a freekick which was hit by Bernard Piednoel. Dominique Lepeltier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Gabriel Filippi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Stevenin hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Pierre-Olivier Gombert struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Edmond Bodin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rungis. Gabriel Filippi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominique Lepeltier in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Hugues Sailly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmond Bodin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hassan Stéphan, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the game, Hassan Stéphan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Edmond Bodin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rungis were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
