Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hassan Stéphan in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jose Paque prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Pierre-Olivier Gombert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rungis's supporters rose to their feet, but Pierre-Olivier Gombert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jose Paque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gabriel Filippi made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Dimitri Deruelle sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Pierre-Olivier Gombert's late challenge caught a Rixheim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Hassan Stéphan came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Rungis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hassan Stéphan couldn't finish the play. When Dimitri Deruelle came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Rixheim fans jumped to their feet. Rungis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rungis had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
