Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Fabien Darbon started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Mathis Jude took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabien Darbon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugene Gallardo in the 8th minute of play forced Pugey's goalkeeper Alfred Lory to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Pugey's goalkeeper Alfred Lory had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norbert Quenet. Fabien Darbon struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Mathis Jude didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pugey. Terry Dervaux charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Terry Dervaux the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sorgues getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Terry Dervaux hit a great ball. When Pugey's Jean-Pierre Convert in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sorgues's goalie prevented a goal. If Eugene Gallardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eugene Gallardo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Alfred Lory skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sorgues's Mathis Jude played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Pierre Convert in the 29th minute of play. After 29 minutes, Jean-Pierre Convert made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sorgues's Mathis Jude tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 38 minutes into the match, Norbert Quenet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfred Lory. Pugey's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norbert Quenet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 42 played minutes Pugey got a freekick which was hit by Junior Dubosc. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugene Gallardo to make the kick off. Fabien Darbon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jean-Pierre Convert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathis Jude having to interfere. Eugene Gallardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Alfred Lory tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Pierre-Olivier Lenain fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sorgues's protests and gave Pierre-Olivier Lenain a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th minute, Pierre-Olivier Lenain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean-Pierre Convert let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 83rd minute shot 1-2 at rihgt post. In the 90th minute, Fabien Darbon fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 95 minutes, Eugene Gallardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sorgues's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugene Gallardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pugey eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
