Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Steven Lucien started the match with the kick off. Jarod Tarbouriech sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benoit Grandpierre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Verlinghem's Francois Cottineau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Lucien in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Steven Lucien got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 18 minutes into the game, Etienne Lafaye was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pregnin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Verlinghem the free kick. After 18 played minutes Pregnin got a freekick which was hit by Etienne Lafaye. Jean-Baptiste Vittoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Rodolphe Dutrieux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolphe Dutrieux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benoit Grandpierre, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Benoit Grandpierre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodolphe Dutrieux made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jocelyn Hermitte in the 27th minute. Francois Cottineau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven Lucien in the 29th minute of the match. When Jocelyn Hermitte fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verlinghem's protests and gave Jocelyn Hermitte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Jocelyn Hermitte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Verlinghem's Jocelyn Hermitte got his second yellow card of the match in the 36th minute. The referee ordered Jocelyn Hermitte off the ground. After a rather tough play, Verlinghem's Jocelyn Hermitte got a free kick in the 37th minute. Francois Cottineau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarod Tarbouriech in the 41st minute of play. Ilan Delatte was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pregnin fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jean-Baptiste Vittoz made a kick off. Pregnin's Rodolphe Dutrieux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Baptiste Vittoz in the 56th minute of play. After 58 minutes of play, Pregnin's Jarod Tarbouriech made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francois Cottineau was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 62 played minutes Pregnin got a freekick which was hit by Steven Lucien. In the 66th minute, Jean-Baptiste Vittoz made a precise shot to the right of Rodolphe Dutrieux. Pregnin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Pregnin's zone, Jean-Baptiste Vittoz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolphe Dutrieux came out of the goal and Jean-Baptiste Vittoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 81 played minutes Verlinghem got a freekick which was hit by Geoffrey Kergoat. If Jarod Tarbouriech had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Etienne Lafaye managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pregnin's supporters rose to their feet, but Etienne Lafaye was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francois Cottineau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eric Chaigne hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Verlinghem's Jean-Baptiste Vittoz got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilbert Miguet's late challenge caught a Verlinghem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilbert Miguet helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Verlinghem booed when Pregnin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Miguet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean-Baptiste Vittoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Billy Poilane during the 99th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
