The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes Vignal got a freekick which was hit by Gerard Savarit. In the 7th minute Gaetan Froger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gildas Cayet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gildas Cayet made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Ernest Pagnier sent off a good shot on target. Reda Calvo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joe Guyader in the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hippolyte Mangot in the 21st minute of play forced Vignal's goalkeeper Reda Calvo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Charles Lacouture during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Perpignan getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Charles Lacouture hit a great ball. In the 25th minute of the match Gerard Savarit sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gildas Cayet skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Perpignan getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Noel Calvi hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tim Theobald during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Perpignan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Theobald to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Ernest Pagnier got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Antoine Ferri charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antoine Ferri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vignal getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Antoine Ferri hit a great ball. Reda Calvo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hippolyte Mangot in the 44th minute of play. Reda Calvo came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Perpignan's Joe Guyader. But to his dismay, Joe Guyader quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After the first half Perpignan were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Hippolyte Mangot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reda Calvo having to interfere. Reda Calvo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe Guyader, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reda Calvo made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Hippolyte Mangot sent off a good shot on target. Reda Calvo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joe Guyader in the 74th minute of the match. When Vignal's Josselin Vautrin in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Perpignan's goalie prevented a goal. Ernest Pagnier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot by Noel Calvi from long distance, 85 minutes into the match, got Reda Calvo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Gerard Savarit charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerard Savarit the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th match minute, Vignal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerard Savarit to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, Vignal's goalkeeper Reda Calvo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hippolyte Mangot. Gerard Savarit kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Reda Calvo made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Hippolyte Mangot sent off a good shot on target. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Perpignan walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
