Ghislain Georgel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Helmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With a little luck, Quiévrechain's Ghislain Georgel got control of the ball when Guy Lespagnol tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guy Lespagnol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Ghislain Georgel made a huge save. Gerald Helias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guy Lespagnol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Ghislain Georgel made a huge save. Ghislain Georgel came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Berzet's Guy Lespagnol. But to his dismay, Guy Lespagnol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Gabriel Noyon made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Quiévrechain getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Ramzi Ribault hit a great ball. After 60 minutes of play, Berzet's Paul Helmer made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ghislain Georgel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Antonin Vallee managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quiévrechain's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonin Vallee was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Berzet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quiévrechain the free kick. Quiévrechain's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Berzet the free kick. After 90 played minutes Quiévrechain got a freekick which was hit by Yann Michard. A hard shot 94 in the game by Antonin Vallee from a close distance when the talented Gerald Helias managed to make a qualified save. Berzet's players were relieved. The Berzet players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
