Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rene Fraboulet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Franklin Mimouni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Fraboulet in the 9th minute of play. Franklin Mimouni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Le Bars, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Rene Fraboulet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franklin Mimouni was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Emeric Edon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Breuillet's Carlos Le Bars in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mercier's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Mercier's Dorian Mahier got a free kick in the 28th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Mercier's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Fraboulet came free, but Franklin Mimouni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Breuillet's Rene Fraboulet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Franklin Mimouni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Franklin Mimouni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Fraboulet, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Emeric Edon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Donald Lesourd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charly Franceschi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donald Lesourd having to interfere. When Sidney Laval came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Breuillet fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidney Laval couldn't finish the play. After the first half Breuillet were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

53 minutes into the match, Emeric Edon notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Breuillet's Donald Lesourd. Donald Lesourd was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carlos Le Bars could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Franklin Mimouni made a huge save. After having played for 66 minutes, Carlos Le Bars managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Breuillet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Le Bars was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 69 played minutes Mercier got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Paul Roul. Rene Fraboulet was extremely unlucky when he, in the 71st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 73 minutes into the match, Mercier's goalkeeper Franklin Mimouni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Le Bars. A collision led to Breuillet getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Rene Fraboulet hit a great ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Charly Franceschi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mercier's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charly Franceschi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charly Franceschi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charly Franceschi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donald Lesourd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Donald Lesourd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emeric Edon, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Donald Lesourd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charly Franceschi in the 89th minute of play. After some careless play in the Breuillet defense, Charly Franceschi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donald Lesourd. The Breuillet fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donald Lesourd should have stopped the shot.
