The supporters of Thil booed when Maxéville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Guerrero didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Maxéville's goalkeeper Thibaut Pélat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martial Brachet. Martial Brachet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Thibaut Pélat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thibaut Pélat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samy Debert in the 11th minute of play. Thibaut Pélat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samy Debert in the 13th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, David Siegel made a precise shot to the right of Roland Coutelle. Thil's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Martial Brachet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thil's supporters rose to their feet, but Martial Brachet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thibaut Pélat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roland Coutelle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Siegel, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute of the match Jolan Baril sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roland Coutelle skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Thil's Alban Bello got a free kick in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Coquard in the 32nd minute of play forced Thil's goalkeeper Roland Coutelle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Thil's zone, Mike Coquard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roland Coutelle came out of the goal and Mike Coquard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Siegel in the 35th minute of play forced Thil's goalkeeper Roland Coutelle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thibaut Pélat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samy Debert in the 40th minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Thil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerard Truchon to maneuver through the defense. Mike Coquard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Roland Coutelle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Thil's Samy Debert in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maxéville's goalie prevented a goal. In the 54th match minute, Maxéville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rémi Playe to maneuver through the defense. Samy Debert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Thibaut Pélat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Samy Debert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62nd play minutes Samy Debert shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Thibaut Pélat and just under the crossbar into goal. Martial Brachet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Thibaut Pélat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute Barthelemy Denoual shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thibaut Pélat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Siegel struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Roland Coutelle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maxéville. Martial Brachet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thibaut Pélat having to interfere. Roland Coutelle was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but David Siegel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 87 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martial Brachet in the 93rd minute of play forced Maxéville's goalkeeper Thibaut Pélat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thibaut Pélat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martial Brachet in the 94th minute of play. Mike Coquards short, quick shot in the 97thth minute got Roland Coutelle to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Maxéville players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
