All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vivien Bremaud stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vivien Bremaud in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabien Boullier saved Reims from getting behind. 66 minutes into the game, Villeneuve's Vivien Bremaud nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabien Boullier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Joseph Clavaud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 77thth minute of the game Joseph Clavaud who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villeneuve's Manuel Bossuet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vivien Bremaud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabien Boullier having to interfere. Joseph Clavaud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerard Fantin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Manuel Bossuet made a huge save. Loic Farre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Villeneuve fans cheered their team off the field, for while Reims had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
