In a very dangerous position, a player in Fouchaisière fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! In the 9th minute there was a penalty for Ventabren. After a defensive mix-up in Ventabren's zone, Mathias Sablayrolles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hippolyte Mejean came out of the goal and Mathias Sablayrolles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the game, Walter Grand was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ventabren's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fouchaisière the free kick. Madjid Bris walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Fouchaisière's John-David Guerry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theo Gardon in the 23rd minute of play. John-David Guerry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salim Brousse in the 24th minute of the match. Salim Brousse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John-David Guerry having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Salim Brousse notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Fouchaisière's John-David Guerry. John-David Guerry was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 40 minutes into the game, Pierrick Koch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ventabren's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fouchaisière the free kick. The supporters of Fouchaisière booed when Ventabren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierrick Koch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maurice Bize's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Hippolyte Mejean skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Maurice Bize fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hippolyte Mejean having to interfere. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ventabren's goalkeeper Hippolyte Mejean, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fouchaisière's John-David Guerry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theo Gardon in the 47th minute of play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Theo Gardon made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Fouchaisière's Mickaël Bosquier got a free kick in the 51st minute. Ventabren's Hippolyte Mejean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurice Bize in the 56th minute of play. John-David Guerry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theo Gardon, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 64th minute Mathias Sablayrolles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hippolyte Mejean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Maurice Bize had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hippolyte Mejean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice Bize, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 80th minute, Felix Gastaldi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francois-Xavier Thevenin hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 95 minutes, Francois-Xavier Thevenin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ventabren and the Fouchaisière players grew even worse after the yellow card.
