Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cédric Gerbaud kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cédric Gerbaud in the 7th minute of play forced Péronnas's goalkeeper Gaetan Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cédric Gerbaud came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Racing Club Roubaix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cédric Gerbaud couldn't finish the play. Gaetan Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cédric Gerbaud in the 12th minute of the match. Batiste Le Dorze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Joachim Fleck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Péronnas's goal looked a bit too open when Faouzi Caspar came free, but Gaetan Martinez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club Roubaix's zone, Remi Boulet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joachim Fleck came out of the goal and Remi Boulet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Remi Boulet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Péronnas's zone, Cédric Gerbaud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaetan Martinez came out of the goal and Cédric Gerbaud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Club Roubaix's goalkeeper Joachim Fleck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Batiste Le Dorze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Remi Boulet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Fleck having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Remi Boulet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Péronnas's supporters rose to their feet, but Remi Boulet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joachim Fleck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute, Faouzi Caspar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remi Boulet was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 60 in the game by Faouzi Caspar from a close distance when the talented Gaetan Martinez managed to make a qualified save. Péronnas's players were relieved. After 62 minutes, Paul-Émile Collignon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club Roubaix and the Péronnas players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Péronnas booed when Racing Club Roubaix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul-Émile Collignon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Modeste Neel hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute of the match, Cédric Gerbaud tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gaetan Martinez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 71 minutes into the match, Racing Club Roubaix's goal looked a bit too open when Remi Boulet came free, but Joachim Fleck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cédric Gerbaud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaetan Martinez having to interfere. Faouzi Caspar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Gaetan Martinez made a huge save. Tim Cartier charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tim Cartier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tim Cartier kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Gaetan Martinez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cédric Gerbaud's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Cédric Gerbaud recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gaetan Martinez. Cédric Gerbaud showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Kévin Moyne hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Racing Club Roubaix supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Racing Club Roubaix would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
