Tommy Jan's late challenge caught a Gajac's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tommy Jan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gajac booed when Blaton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Jan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Gajac's Gilles Nicot sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabien Amalric narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Blaton's Fabien Amalric got control of the ball when Hugo Boudot tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mehdi Dervaux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Watrin, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Allan Watrin might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mehdi Dervaux. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Allan Watrin ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Allan Watrin in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mehdi Dervaux prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th match minute, Gajac was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Vaissière to maneuver through the defense. Mehdi Dervaux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Watrin, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Igor Vaissière fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gajac's protests and gave Igor Vaissière a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute, Igor Vaissière hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Watrin in the 34th minute of play forced Gajac's goalkeeper Mehdi Dervaux to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehdi Dervaux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Blaton's Charles Jehanno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mehdi Dervaux narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Charles Jehanno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Allan Watrin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehdi Dervaux having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Boudot during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gajac getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Hugo Boudot hit a great ball. After 59 played minutes, Gajac's Yazid Ferrere shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabien Amalric came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gajac reached it. When Allan Watrin came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Blaton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan Watrin couldn't finish the play. Fabien Amalric stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilles Nicot's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Fabien Amalric showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilles Nicot, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Allan Watrin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gajac's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 95 minutes, Allan Watrin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blaton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Watrin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blaton were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
