Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 3 minutes, Thierry Fortune managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bouscat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thierry Fortune was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thierry Fortune took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kamel Gaulier. Kamel Gaulier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Bouscat's Ernest Medina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre-Olivier Charpentier in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Édouard Bienaimé hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernest Medina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blaise Valton in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Thierry Fortune had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kamel Gaulier. Le Zénith de Brest's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thierry Fortune was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Thierry Fortune recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thierry Fortune in the 26th minute of play forced Le Zénith de Brest's goalkeeper Kamel Gaulier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blaise Valton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Medina having to interfere. Pierre-Olivier Charpentier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Medina having to interfere. Daryl Curt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamel Gaulier having to interfere. Pierre-Olivier Charpentier's late challenge caught a Bouscat's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pierre-Olivier Charpentier helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Le Zénith de Brest's Pierre-Olivier Charpentier got a free kick in the 38th minute. When Thierry Fortune came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Bouscat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thierry Fortune couldn't finish the play. Kamel Gaulier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Brin in the 41st minute of the match. If Thierry Fortune had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albert Brin in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kamel Gaulier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 47th minute Daryl Curt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamel Gaulier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Blaise Valton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kamel Gaulier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Boé, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Blaise Valton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thierry Fortune struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Kamel Gaulier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bouscat. Le Zénith de Brest's Kamel Gaulier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thierry Fortune in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Thierry Fortune left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bouscat fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Kamel Gaulier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albert Brin in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute, Bouscat's Thierry Fortune ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kamel Gaulier. Kamel Gaulier yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Albert Brin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Kamel Gaulier made a huge save. Kamel Gaulier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albert Brin in the 83rd minute. Albert Brin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Kamel Gaulier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute Thierry Fortune shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamel Gaulier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Albert Brin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bouscat's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Brin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kamel Gaulier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thierry Fortune received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Kamel Gaulier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Bouscat's Albert Brin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kamel Gaulier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kamel Gaulier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thierry Fortune, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bouscat played a much better game than Le Zénith de Brest and deserved their victory. The Le Zénith de Brest players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
