William Guillaud hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joey Delacourt got free with Éluard Barrière in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes into the match, The Magpies's Bastien Duplan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antoine Bideau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Antoine Bideau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Flandin in the 16th minute of play. Gabin Grasser hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Gémenos's Charles Prot got a free kick in the 24th minute. William Guillaud took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Antoine Bideau. Gémenos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Gémenos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joey Delacourt to maneuver through the defense. If Benoît Sire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omar Flandin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Benoît Sire notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of The Magpies's Éluard Barrière. Éluard Barrière was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Antoine Bideau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Félicien Turc, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Joey Delacourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Éluard Barrière having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benoît Sire in the 67th minute of play forced The Magpies's goalkeeper Éluard Barrière to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benoît Sire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Éluard Barrière tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benoît Sire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Éluard Barrière having to interfere. Éluard Barrière showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benoît Sire, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Omar Flandin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Omar Flandin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Antoine Bideau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Édouard Pignolet's late challenge caught a Gémenos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Édouard Pignolet helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to The Magpies getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Édouard Pignolet hit a great ball. In the 88th minute of the match Cédric Fillon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Éluard Barrière skillfully saved the ball. Omar Flandin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gémenos's Cédric Fillon couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 98th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for The Magpies. The Magpies's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
