When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Pierrick Clair made the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Pierrick Clair who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gémenos's Antoine Bideau was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Joey Delacourt got free in front of the goal in the 57th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Maurice Burban was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Teddy Périé hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Pierrick Clair got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. César Raillard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Antoine Bideau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Gémenos's goal looked a bit too open when Pierrick Clair came free, but Antoine Bideau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Meylan's goalkeeper Maurice Burban had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joey Delacourt. Gémenos's supporters rose to their feet, but Benoît Sire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurice Burban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gémenos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Meylan.
