Ghislain Castagnet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Reynald Laisne made a huge save. In the 82nd minute, Pompignac's Oscar Blois ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ludovic Dieval. Ludovic Dieval yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Frédéric Tourne charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frédéric Tourne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pompignac getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Frédéric Tourne hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Ghislain Castagnet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palaiseau's supporters rose to their feet, but Ghislain Castagnet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynald Laisne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Oscar Blois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. Reynald Laisne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mounir Duplaix, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Pompignac were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
