The Santes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sébastian Rochet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Marie Darricau having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Bosson's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Rabut came free, but Jean-Marie Darricau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Rabut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jean-Marie Darricau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franck Lochon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bosson's Jean-Marie Darricau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Rabut in the 19th minute of play. When Barthélémy Chiquet came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Santes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barthélémy Chiquet couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Bosson's zone, Barthélémy Chiquet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean-Marie Darricau came out of the goal and Barthélémy Chiquet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Bosson's Yves Caudrelier got a free kick in the 24th minute. Jean-Marie Darricau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabien Nouaille in the 25th minute of play. Alix Jeune charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alix Jeune the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th minute, Alix Jeune hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Bosson's Tony Luccioni dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Julien Freund lost his temper 33 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 32 minutes into the game, one of Santes:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Yves Caudrelier shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Christopher Magne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Luccioni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Barthélémy Chiquet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Christian Rabut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean-Marie Darricau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Rabut in the 43rd minute of play. Christian Rabut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Rabut recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tony Luccioni was the one to do the kick off. When Christian Rabut came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Santes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Rabut couldn't finish the play. Santes's Fabien Nouaille got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Christian Rabut got free in front of the goal in the 57th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jean-Marie Darricau was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Santes's Fabien Nouaille got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Christian Rabut sped through Bosson's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jean-Marie Darricau. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Fabien Nouaille managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santes's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabien Nouaille was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean-Marie Darricau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Santes booed when Bosson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Tournois didn't get a good kick on the ball. A well placed Christian Rabut short distance shot in the 70th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Santes's Franck Lochon got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jean-Marie Darricau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barthélémy Chiquet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franck Lochon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Barthélémy Chiquet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 80 minutes, Christian Rabut made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Bosson's Jean-Marie Darricau tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84thth minute of the game Christian Rabut who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bosson's Jean-Marie Darricau was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Bosson booed when Santes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Édouard Delecourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuel Laurendeau hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Santes's Réda Beaudouin got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabien Nouaille recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 94 in the game by Christian Rabut from a close distance when the talented Jean-Marie Darricau managed to make a qualified save. Bosson's players were relieved. After having played for 95 minutes, Christian Rabut managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Rabut was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
