Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Sambuc's Jean-Pierre Bigard started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emeric Blet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Jean-Pierre Bigard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Florent Russier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marvin Michiels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Igor Borderie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marvin Michiels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marvin Michiels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Raymond Genevois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florent Russier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raymond Genevois having to make a save. Gouesnou's Eugène Guillemant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emeric Blet in the 28th minute of play. Florent Russier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymond Genevois having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Sambuc's goalkeeper Raymond Genevois had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florent Russier. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Marvin Michiels managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gouesnou's supporters rose to their feet, but Marvin Michiels was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raymond Genevois breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marvin Michiels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymond Genevois having to interfere.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marvin Michiels stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Florent Russier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marvin Michiels in the 54th minute of play forced Sambuc's goalkeeper Raymond Genevois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gouesnou were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Sambuc's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. William Davaine took the corner. A nice corner shot did that William Davaine got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Raymond Genevois quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Marvin Michiels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Raymond Genevois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emeric Blet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jean-Pierre Bigard in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugène Guillemant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raymond Genevois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marvin Michiels in the 72nd minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Marvin Michiels ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raymond Genevois was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Gouesnou's Eugène Guillemant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Pierre Bigard in the 81st minute of play. When Serge Parisot fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sambuc's protests and gave Serge Parisot a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sambuc getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Serge Parisot hit a great ball. Bertrand Le Denmat hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Gouesnou players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
