The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Marc-Aurèle Mauroy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomas Bozec. Froidcul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marc-Aurèle Mauroy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Marc-Aurèle Mauroy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caucherie's supporters rose to their feet, but Marc-Aurèle Mauroy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Bozec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfred Névès showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blaise Nion in the 15th minute of the match. If Marc-Aurèle Mauroy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Névès took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blaise Nion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Froidcul's Blaise Nion got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Stephane De Jesus sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Caucherie's Alfred Névès didn't even have to move. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Thomas Bozec successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thomas Bozec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ewan Piron, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd match minute, Froidcul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stanislas Boisseau to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ewan Piron stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Blaise Nion's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Alfred Névès skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Marc-Aurèle Mauroy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marc-Aurèle Mauroy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ewan Piron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Sale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Alfred Névès tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Sale struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Alfred Névès didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Froidcul. Carlos Sale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Névès having to interfere. Alfred Névès took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Sale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomas Bozec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc-Aurèle Mauroy in the 70th minute of the match. Caucherie's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Carlos Sale 76 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. 79 minutes into the match, Ewan Piron notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Froidcul's Thomas Bozec. Thomas Bozec was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Carlos Sale took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Alfred Névès to make any attempt to save it. In the 91st minute, Carlos Sale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfred Névès was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Carlos Sale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Alfred Névès tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Froidcul eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
