The referee ignored Cordelas's protests and gave Régis Campo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cordelas getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Régis Campo hit a great ball. Marc-Olivier Quintard was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Reynald Badel. In the 28th minute, Mehdi Francheteau reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marc-Olivier Quintard. The goal made the score 1-0. With an all-out effort, Bièvres's Marc-Olivier Quintard threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mehdi Francheteau, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Mehdi Francheteau kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marc-Olivier Quintard. That made the score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. With a little luck, Cordelas's Marc-Olivier Quintard got control of the ball when Marvin Nuss tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Marvin Nuss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
