O.M.'s Michel Cazin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achille Bouron in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Poulx's goalkeeper Guillaume Le Guillou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joris Bouisset. Guillaume Le Guillou didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joris Bouisset went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Achille Bouron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to O.M. getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Samir Baudron hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the game, O.M.'s Joris Bouisset nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guillaume Le Guillou made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Achille Bouron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Achille Bouron stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, O.M.'s Samir Baudron got a free kick in the 58th minute. The long shot by Hector Roussillon in the 59th minute really tested Michel Cazin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Kader Duthoit's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Michel Cazin firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience was convinced that Joris Bouisset's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guillaume Le Guillou was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Kader Duthoit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michel Cazin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achille Bouron, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute.
