Jonathan Azema took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hakim Rossetti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Vaupaliere's Jonathan Azema threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hakim Rossetti, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jonathan Azema took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hakim Rossetti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the game, Gorra's Calvin Paulus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marc-Antoine Boudy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Hakim Rossetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marc-Antoine Boudy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jérémie Pradal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Léopold Perrier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hakim Rossetti in the 47th minute of play forced Gorra's goalkeeper Jonathan Azema to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jérémie Pradal to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Hakim Rossetti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Azema was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Maurice Bettinger's late challenge caught a Gorra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maurice Bettinger hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Vaupaliere's goal looked a bit too open when Jérémie Pradal came free, but Marc-Antoine Boudy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Charlie Dartois fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gorra's protests and gave Charlie Dartois a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maxime Dazin in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Azema prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
