He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in varilhes reached it. Donatien Martine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Victorien Ranson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Tanguy Verwaerde's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victorien Ranson was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. If Donatien Martine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tanguy Verwaerde could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Victorien Ranson made a huge save. Tanguy Verwaerde ran back to his position shaking his head. After 30 minutes, Steve Regazzoni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the varilhes and the Vayres players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th minute, Steve Regazzoni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Donatien Martine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tanguy Verwaerde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorien Ranson having to interfere. If Tanguy Verwaerde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Ali Alain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Dallet, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. varilhes's Dan Dallet got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, varilhes's Eddy Peres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ali Alain narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 81 minutes into the game, Vayres's Donatien Martine nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victorien Ranson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean-Michel Gitton during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 89 played minutes Vayres got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Michel Gitton. Ali Alain acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 90th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nolan Gelly. Victorien Ranson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donatien Martine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Vayres had played much better football throughout.
