After a defensive mix-up in Riedwihr's zone, Dilan Marquant stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Léo Le Ber came out of the goal and Dilan Marquant tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gameiro Niel's late challenge caught a bordeaux's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gameiro Niel helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of bordeaux booed when Riedwihr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gameiro Niel didn't get a good kick on the ball. bordeaux's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Théophile Paolini scored to the left of an out of position Mathias Savard, making the score, 2-1.
