Hocine Baby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joël Arrault in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th minute Antonin Feuvrier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hocine Baby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonin Feuvrier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hocine Baby read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute Joël Arrault shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hocine Baby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Antonin Feuvrier came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Dagneux fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonin Feuvrier couldn't finish the play. Antonin Feuvrier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Hocine Baby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Piron in the 46th minute of play forced Dagneux's goalkeeper Abraham Dantec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hippolyte Baudoin made a kick off. Antonin Feuvrier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Hocine Baby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antonin Feuvrier in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hocine Baby prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ifs's goalkeeper Hocine Baby, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hocine Baby made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Joël Arrault sent off a good shot on target. After 73 minutes of play, Dagneux's Joël Arrault made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hocine Baby was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilles Poupin during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gilles Poupin hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The Ifs fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Ifs's Baptiste Imbert looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Joël Arrault fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hocine Baby having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Dagneux walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
