Cédric Oudart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Titouan Hermouet having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 22nd minute by Tristan Dupret got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 29 minutes into the match, Donatien Jeantet notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Montmagny Sp's Titouan Hermouet. Titouan Hermouet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Montmagny Sp defense, Cédric Oudart kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Titouan Hermouet. The Montmagny Sp fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Titouan Hermouet should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montmagny Sp's goalkeeper Titouan Hermouet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tristan Dupret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45 played minutes, Montmagny Sp's Norbert Berthou shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paul-Émile Hamelin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Montmagny Sp reached it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tristan Dupret made a kick off. If Tristan Dupret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Montmagny Sp's goal looked a bit too open when Donatien Jeantet came free, but Titouan Hermouet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cédric Oudart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donatien Jeantet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Titouan Hermouet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes in the game, Tristan Dupret dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Titouan Hermouet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donatien Jeantet, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 78 played minutes Mardié got a freekick which was hit by Cédric Oudart. After a defensive mix-up in Montmagny Sp's zone, Cédric Oudart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Titouan Hermouet came out of the goal and Cédric Oudart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cédric Oudart got free with Titouan Hermouet in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Montmagny Sp's zone, Donatien Jeantet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Titouan Hermouet came out of the goal and Donatien Jeantet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Montmagny Sp fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mardié had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
