After a defensive mix-up in Montanay's zone, Redouane Fere stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gérard Soto came out of the goal and Redouane Fere tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute Redouane Fere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gérard Soto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles Delannay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Montanay's Gérard Soto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Delannay in the 33rd minute of play. Achille Dron was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 41st minute of the match Didier Soler sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gérard Soto skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Charles Delannay managed to get in a good position for a shot.
