An unexpectedly hard shot by Édouard Decaux in the 3rd minute of play forced Gimeaux's goalkeeper Pierre-Henri Delaporte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Marcillac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Gaugain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre-Henri Delaporte having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Édouard Decaux managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bernin's supporters rose to their feet, but Édouard Decaux was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pierre-Henri Delaporte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Brahimi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bernin fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Gimeaux. Ali Poupin stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Romain Deleris. 0-1. After 25 played minutes Gimeaux got a freekick which was hit by Ernest Vigne. Édouard Decaux recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexandre Bellini hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Édouard Decaux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre-Henri Delaporte having to interfere. Gimeaux's Pierre-Henri Delaporte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Gimeaux from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bernin's goalkeeper Romain Deleris, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gimeaux's Pierre-Henri Delaporte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Gimeaux from getting a goal against them. If Victor Gaugain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Bernin players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gimeaux were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Édouard Decaux to make the kick off. When Gimeaux's Paulo Brahimi in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bernin's goalie prevented a goal. 52 minutes into the game, José Marcillac was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bernin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gimeaux the free kick. Édouard Decaux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Pierre-Henri Delaporte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Ernest Vigne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gimeaux and the Bernin players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Ernest Vigne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Édouard Decaux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Pierre-Henri Delaporte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Gaugain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre-Henri Delaporte having to interfere. Paulo Brahimi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romain Deleris having to interfere. With his leg Romain Deleris managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Gimeaux's Sam Darnis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Chants of Gimeaux echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Bernin had held the ball for most of the match.
