After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Paulo Brahimi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gimeaux's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Brahimi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramzy Roullet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With 21 minutes on the clock, Melvin Hell commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a rather tough play, Vauhallan's Jean-Cyrille N'Diaye got a free kick in the 27th minute. Ali Poupin shot from long distance in the 28th minute, but Ramzy Roullet was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Sam Darnis struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. When Paulo Brahimi came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Gimeaux fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Brahimi couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Vauhallan's Brandon Care got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Fabien Magnat scored 1-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pierre-Henri Delaporte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Florent Galinier took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pierre-Henri Delaporte. Gimeaux's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 45 played minutes Vauhallan got a freekick which was hit by Gwendal Cattaneo. Gimeaux's Ali Poupin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 46th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Vauhallan. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Brahimi to make the kick off. If Sam Darnis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramzi Vasseur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Fabien Magnat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vauhallan's zone, Sam Darnis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramzy Roullet came out of the goal and Sam Darnis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabien Magnat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Pierre-Henri Delaporte made a huge save. Fabien Magnat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre-Henri Delaporte having to interfere. Paulo Brahimi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Vauhallan getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Gwendal Cattaneo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Poupin in the 91st minute of play forced Vauhallan's goalkeeper Ramzy Roullet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean-Cyrille N'Diaye kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Gimeaux's Sam Darnis got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
