The supporters of Longjumeau booed when Olivet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavian Maupetit didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bakary Bruant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. François Abad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronan Bardel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Freddy Maniere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 31 minutes, Hamid Faivre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olivet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamid Faivre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Ronan Bardel sped through Longjumeau's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Freddy Maniere. Hamid Faivre scored 1-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Freddy Maniere, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute, Bakary Bruant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronan Bardel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Olivet got a freekick which was hit by Flavian Maupetit. Hamid Faivre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Freddy Maniere read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Hamid Faivre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Maniere having to interfere. Hamid Faivre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Freddy Maniere managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Olivet's Hamid Faivre fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 75 minutes into the game, Longjumeau's Eddy Lépicier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. François Abad made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Ronan Bardel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Freddy Maniere came out and tried to block the shot, but Ronan Bardel slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 79th minute. In the 83rd minute, Eddy Lépicier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eddy Lépicier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. François Abad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hamid Faivre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Olivet eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
