The referee ignored Ferté's protests and gave Clément Boulic a yellow card for diving instead. Clément Boulic kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Melvin Bernardini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Omar Vitali was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melvin Bernardini to make the kick off. Sangatte's Benoit Chartier couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ferté. Bruno Hinault kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. During the 67th minute of the match Clément Boulic completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Clément Boulic a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Clément Boulic hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After 72 played minutes Ferté got a freekick which was hit by Stéphane Borderie. Corentin Marchadour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Vitali having to interfere. With a little luck, Sangatte's Geoffrey Bodard got control of the ball when Arnaud Dorel tried to sneak it across the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Corentin Marchadour cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Omar Vitali was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bruno Hinault struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Omar Vitali didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sangatte. In the 91st minute Melvin Bernardini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Vitali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Corentin Marchadour got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
