After a rather tough play, Vernhole's Adrien Blas got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Jérémie Petits short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Laurent Mauger to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Jérémie Petit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rayanne Schmit in the 14th minute of play forced Hyères's goalkeeper Donatien Vaxelaire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dylan De Araujo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rayanne Schmit in the 19th minute of play forced Hyères's goalkeeper Donatien Vaxelaire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Vernhole's Adrien Blas in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hyères's goalie prevented a goal. Romaric Doussot's late challenge caught a Vernhole's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romaric Doussot helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vernhole booed when Hyères was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romaric Doussot didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dylan De Araujo to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Dylan De Araujo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Quentin Champion received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Donatien Vaxelaire came out and tried to block the shot, but Quentin Champion slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 54th minute. If Rayanne Schmit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 60th minute, Rayanne Schmit ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donatien Vaxelaire was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Dylan De Araujo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Donatien Vaxelaire having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dylan De Araujo in the 66th minute of play forced Hyères's goalkeeper Donatien Vaxelaire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Vernhole's Dylan De Araujo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Laurent Mauger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jérémie Petit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Modeste Méjean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dylan De Araujo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Donatien Vaxelaire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hyères's Romaric Doussot got his second yellow card of the match in the 80th minute. The referee ordered Romaric Doussot off the ground. The supporters of Vernhole booed when Hyères was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romaric Doussot didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 83 played minutes Hyères got a freekick which was hit by Donovan Gouin. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Dylan De Araujo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vernhole's supporters rose to their feet, but Dylan De Araujo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donatien Vaxelaire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute, Dylan De Araujo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rayanne Schmit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donatien Vaxelaire having to interfere. Vernhole played a much better game than Hyères and deserved their victory. The Hyères players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
