Allan Page charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Allan Page the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Michel Barbereau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Kamel Devillers made a huge save. The supporters of Réjouit booed when Houplin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Page didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salomon Burgun had several of the Houplin's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 11 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Kamel Devillers as he didn't even see the shot coming. 15 minutes into the match, Houplin's goal looked a bit too open when Salomon Burgun came free, but Kamel Devillers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salomon Burgun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Kamel Devillers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Salomon Burgun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michel Barbereau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kamel Devillers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. If Sabri Lange had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 36th minute of the match Allan Page completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Allan Page a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 37 played minutes Houplin got a freekick which was hit by Allan Page. 38 minutes into the match, Houplin's goalkeeper Kamel Devillers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michel Barbereau. Kamel Devillers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michel Barbereau in the 44th minute. Houplin's Kamel Devillers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salomon Burgun in the 49th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sabri Lange made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Arnold Becot made a precise shot to the right of Kamel Devillers. Houplin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Samir Briand kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salomon Burgun in the 62nd minute of play forced Houplin's goalkeeper Kamel Devillers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michel Barbereau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Michel Barbereau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute Michel Barbereau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamel Devillers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michel Barbereau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Kamel Devillers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Salomon Burgun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kamel Devillers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Barbereau in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Houplin's goal looked a bit too open when Salomon Burgun came free, but Kamel Devillers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute Salomon Burgun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamel Devillers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sabri Lange fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Pradelles having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Réjouit players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
