Noel Courtade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armand Jones in the 6th minute of the match. Noel Courtade made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Samy Bougon sent off a good shot on target. Wahagnies's Noel Courtade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Wahagnies from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Gourlay in the 19th minute of play forced Chasselay's goalkeeper Alou Ripoll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Gourlay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alexandre Gourlay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Alou Ripoll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wahagnies's Lionel Bonny got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lionel Bonny struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Alou Ripoll didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wahagnies. Alou Ripoll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lionel Bonny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the game, Bakary Terrasson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chasselay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wahagnies the free kick. After 44 played minutes Chasselay got a freekick which was hit by Bakary Terrasson. In the 45th minute, Renaud Vieu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Chasselay's Alou Ripoll didn't even have to move. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lionel Bonny made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Lionel Bonny was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wahagnies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chasselay the free kick. After 56 minutes, Calvin Rocchi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chasselay and the Wahagnies players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Wahagnies booed when Chasselay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calvin Rocchi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Noel Courtade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armand Jones, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute, Benoit Bassot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, Chasselay's Wilfried Grosjean broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Alexandre Gourlay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Alou Ripoll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 played minutes Chasselay got a freekick which was hit by Bakary Terrasson. 71 minutes into the match, Wahagnies's Renaud Vieu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. In the 74th minute, Calvin Rocchi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chasselay's Alou Ripoll proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Chasselay from getting a goal against them. After having played for 78 minutes, Samy Bougon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chasselay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samy Bougon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Renaud Vieu charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renaud Vieu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 84 played minutes, Chasselay's Charles-Henri Lacaze shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Noel Courtade came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chasselay reached it. Alexandre Gourlay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Gourlay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Alou Ripoll made a huge save.
