If Jonathan Wagner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eddy Genestier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Poissonnier, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 12 minutes, Aurélien Collette made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cres's Eddy Genestier tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathan Wagner in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eddy Genestier saved Cres from getting behind. 19 minutes into the match, Cres's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Wagner came free, but Eddy Genestier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Aurélien Collette made a precise shot to the right of Eddy Genestier. Cres's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sete fc's goalkeeper Damien Le Guern, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Jonathan Wagner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gilbert Rocca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Bérenger Prieur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damien Le Guern saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bérenger Prieur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sete fc's Jonathan Wagner got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eddy Genestier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathan Wagner's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Aurélien Collette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Eddy Genestier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jonathan Wagner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danny Fricker hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the game, Sete fc's Jonathan Wagner nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eddy Genestier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After the first half Sete fc were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bérenger Prieur made a kick off. Aurélien Collette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cres's Eddy Genestier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurélien Collette in the 54th minute of play. In the 58thth minute of the game Aurélien Collette who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cres's Eddy Genestier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eddy Genestier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonathan Wagner in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Aurélien Collette lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Eddy Genestier. With a little luck, Cres's Eddy Genestier got control of the ball when Jonathan Wagner tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aurélien Collette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddy Genestier having to interfere. Aurélien Collette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bérenger Prieur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noureddine Lecacheur hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Danny Fricker hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurélien Collette in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eddy Genestier saved Cres from getting behind. Yannick Viel kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When Sete fc's Jonathan Wagner, in the 96th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Sete fc. Jean-Philippe Dupoux hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The Cres fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sete fc were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
