Mustapha Bourigault was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Willy Chalier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aziz Vannier got free with Robert Theobald in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evan Flamand who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Robert Theobald when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mustapha Bourigault made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohamed-Ali Vignolles in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evan Flamand to strike the kick off in the second half. Ange Gélot might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mustapha Bourigault. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ange Gélot ran back to his position shaking his head. 64 minutes into the match, Vésinet's goal looked a bit too open when Evan Flamand came free, but Robert Theobald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Theobald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evan Flamand, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Vésinet's Mohamed-Ali Vignolles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mustapha Bourigault. That made the score 0-3 after 73 minutes of play. 78 minutes into the game, Evan Flamand cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Robert Theobald was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mustapha Bourigault made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mohamed-Ali Vignolles in the 82nd minute. Mustapha Bourigault was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mohamed-Ali Vignolles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 83 minute of play.
