It was a penalty for Rocheron! Through a series of nice moves, AS Saint-Etienne's Bart Sousa on his own came free in the 69th minute of the match and shot 0-2 behind a disappointed Carlos Bordas. AS Saint-Etienne's Antony Esnault played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christopher Cazalis in the 73rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, AS Saint-Etienne's Jean-Philippe Gauthier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Bordas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bruno Amador's late challenge caught a AS Saint-Etienne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Amador helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, one of Rocheron:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rocheron. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. AS Saint-Etienne had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
