With an all-out effort, Carpiquet's Jimmy Piau threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maxime Cosson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carpiquet's goalkeeper Antoine Gilquin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Antoine Gilquin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kévin Belhomme in the 42nd minute of the match. Alfred Cavelier charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfred Cavelier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alfred Cavelier hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maxime Cosson made a kick off. Maxime Cosson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jimmy Piau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paquière's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
