Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Paquière's Alfred Cavelier started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 2 minutes, Noël Ducellier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thumeries's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noël Ducellier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Romuald Urban charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romuald Urban the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Romuald Urban hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 8th match minute, Thumeries was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascal Bedouet to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfred Cavelier in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Désiré Govou saved Thumeries from getting behind. Jimmy Piau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guy Garrel in the 11th minute. Noël Ducellier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Piau having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Paquière's goalkeeper Jimmy Piau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guy Garrel. When Kévin Belhomme fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paquière's protests and gave Kévin Belhomme a yellow card for diving instead. Kévin Belhomme kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of Paquière booed when Thumeries was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noël Ducellier didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th match minute, Thumeries was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascal Bedouet to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hassan Gardien in the 29th minute of play forced Thumeries's goalkeeper Désiré Govou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Thumeries's Noël Ducellier in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paquière's goalie prevented a goal. Désiré Govou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hassan Gardien in the 36th minute of the match. Hassan Gardien's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Désiré Govou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pascal Bedouet during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 minutes of play, Thumeries's Guy Garrel made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jimmy Piau was left in no man's land by his defense there!

55 minutes into the match, Paquière's goal looked a bit too open when Guy Garrel came free, but Jimmy Piau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Noël Ducellier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Désiré Govou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Cavelier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Thumeries's zone, Alfred Cavelier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Désiré Govou came out of the goal and Alfred Cavelier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hassan Gardiens short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Désiré Govou to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Désiré Govou was a little too slow when Alfred Cavelier got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 1-1. If Alfred Cavelier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Cavelier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Désiré Govou having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Thumeries's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Cavelier came free, but Désiré Govou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
