Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Benoît Janin made the kick off which started today's match. André Péraud struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Romeo Blaize didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lessy. In the 11th minute, Raoul Luccioni fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Marc-Aurèle Mangot, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benoît Janin in the 14th minute of play forced Dourges's goalkeeper Romeo Blaize to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Lessy booed when Dourges was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Pierre Pinel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximilien Milleret charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximilien Milleret the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Dourges's Maximilien Milleret got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Dourges's zone, André Péraud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Blaize came out of the goal and André Péraud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benoît Janin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Blaize having to interfere. The supporters of Lessy booed when Dourges was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Paul Dubart didn't get a good kick on the ball. When André Péraud fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lessy's protests and gave André Péraud a yellow card for diving instead. André Péraud kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Benoît Janin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Romeo Blaize tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, André Péraud managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lessy's supporters rose to their feet, but André Péraud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeo Blaize breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maximilien Milleret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Raoul Luccioni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Cédric Praud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A nice corner shot did that Edouard Favre got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marc-Aurèle Mangot quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raoul Luccioni to make the kick off. Raoul Luccioni took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marc-Aurèle Mangot. Marc-Aurèle Mangot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 55th minute Raoul Luccioni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc-Aurèle Mangot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gustave Plet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raoul Luccioni might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marc-Aurèle Mangot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raoul Luccioni ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 63rd minute Gustave Plet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc-Aurèle Mangot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raoul Luccioni scored 2-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marc-Aurèle Mangot, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 70 minutes into the match, Lessy's goal looked a bit too open when Gustave Plet came free, but Marc-Aurèle Mangot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dourges's Romeo Blaize played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benoît Janin in the 80th minute of play. Gustave Plet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Marc-Aurèle Mangot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustave Plet in the 87th minute of play forced Lessy's goalkeeper Marc-Aurèle Mangot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Raoul Luccioni got free in front of the goal in the 88th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Marc-Aurèle Mangot was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Romeo Blaize made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Péraud in the 91st minute. Romeo Blaize took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benoît Janin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Dourges fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lessy had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
