The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ben Moulet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaël Pujo having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Floirac's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Moulet came free, but Gaël Pujo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaël Pujo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrice Grondin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tom Burckel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Salim Leveugle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean-Philippe Bret made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adil Reinhardt in the 25th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Ben Moulet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villecresnes's supporters rose to their feet, but Ben Moulet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaël Pujo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabrice Grondin in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaël Pujo saved Floirac from getting behind. In the 29th match minute, Floirac was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Groussard to maneuver through the defense. Fabrice Grondin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Gaël Pujo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Villecresnes's Fabrice Grondin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaël Pujo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ben Moulet was the one to do the kick off. Billy Paulet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Gaël Pujo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Floirac's Gaël Pujo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ben Moulet in the 54th minute of play. Gaël Pujo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ben Moulet went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Floirac's Éluard Gigot got a free kick in the 58th minute. When Thierry Diot fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Floirac's protests and gave Thierry Diot a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Villecresnes booed when Floirac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thierry Diot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Floirac's attack was well implemented in the 68th minute, but when Adil Reinhardt was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 72nd minute, Tom Burckel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jean-Philippe Bret showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adil Reinhardt, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Villecresnes had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
