With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herbert Caminade in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harry Kurtz saved Pfulgriesheim from getting behind. When Yvan Morichon fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pfulgriesheim's protests and gave Yvan Morichon a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pfulgriesheim getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Yvan Morichon hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pfulgriesheim's zone, Herbert Caminade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry Kurtz came out of the goal and Herbert Caminade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Herbert Caminade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Harry Kurtz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Pfulgriesheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lionel Hénaut to maneuver through the defense. Jean-Yves Eudes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Desvignes having to interfere. If Lionel Hénaut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgard Champenois hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the match, Pfulgriesheim's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Caminade came free, but Harry Kurtz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Cesar Banos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pfulgriesheim players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vongy.
