Fernand Millot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lilian Cormerais in the 9th minute of the match. Rémi Griot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John-David Vauquelin, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Vivien Lionnet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the match, olympique Lyonnais's goal looked a bit too open when John-David Vauquelin came free, but Rémi Griot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, olympique Lyonnais's Lucien Chapelon got a free kick in the 24th minute. John-David Vauquelin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Racing Cracow booed when olympique Lyonnais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucien Chapelon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Racing Cracow's Arnaud Ruckebusch broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Eddy Cloix fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Racing Cracow's protests and gave Eddy Cloix a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39thth minute of the game Florentin Hache who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Cracow's Fernand Millot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentin Hache in the 40th minute of play forced Racing Cracow's goalkeeper Fernand Millot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Lilian Cormerais came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the olympique Lyonnais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lilian Cormerais couldn't finish the play. Rémi Griot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John-David Vauquelin, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The Racing Cracow players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. olympique Lyonnais were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Lilian Cormerais made the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 53 in the game by Florentin Hache from a close distance when the talented Fernand Millot managed to make a qualified save. Racing Cracow's players were relieved. Georges Bayle's late challenge caught a Racing Cracow's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Georges Bayle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Georges Bayle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Faustin Bordel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rémi Griot having to interfere. Georges Bayle got his second yellow card in the match during the 71st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, olympique Lyonnais's Georges Bayle got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Lilian Cormerais charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lilian Cormerais the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lilian Cormerais kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Arnaud Ruckebusch was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If John-David Vauquelin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rémi Griot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John-David Vauquelin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faustin Bordel struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Rémi Griot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Cracow. If Faustin Bordel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vivien Lionnet kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that John-David Vauquelin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rémi Griot was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. olympique Lyonnais had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
