Marius Paccard kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Thièze's Erwann Szymanski fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 13th minute, Bastien Hellio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Thièze's Erwann Szymanski got a free kick in the 14th minute. Melvin Boulange took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxence Maujean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Kaysersberg fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Kaysersberg's Augustin Cappelle looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 25th minute, Maxence Maujean left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thièze fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Erwann Szymanski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thièze's supporters rose to their feet, but Erwann Szymanski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melvin Boulange breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilbert Tardy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gilbert Tardy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexis Vallin during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Kaysersberg:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Thièze:s goal. The referee gave Thièze a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Romuald Souque, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kaysersberg's Melvin Boulange. 2-1. When Maxence Maujean came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Thièze fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maxence Maujean couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maxence Maujean stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Michel Cocq showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Tardy, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Michel Cocq made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augustin Cappelle in the 56th minute. Melvin Boulange showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxence Maujean in the 57th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes Kaysersberg got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Cappelle. Kaysersberg's Melvin Boulange played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erwann Szymanski in the 66th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Thièze got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Cave. After 72 minutes, Thierry Morisson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thièze and the Kaysersberg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd minute, one of Thièze:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Thièze. Erwann Szymanski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Melvin Boulange tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilbert Tardy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A long shot from Cyrille Lecourt in the 94th minute of play was well struck, but Michel Cocq made a really good save at the right post.
