Réda Courtier hit a great ball. 1-1 became the score in the 38th minute when Alex Floquet elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Luc Demay made a precise shot to the right of Jason Duval. Peuplingues's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After the first half Cuvat were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alex Floquet was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Floquet in the 53rd minute of play forced Cuvat's goalkeeper Anthony Tempier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 56 minutes, Alex Floquet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peuplingues's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Floquet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zinedine Garo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armand Vallin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 63 minutes into the game, Alex Floquet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Anthony Tempier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Cuvat defense, Alex Floquet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anthony Tempier. The Cuvat fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anthony Tempier should have stopped the shot. The Peuplingues fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Peuplingues's Armand Vallin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 78th minute Luc Demay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jason Duval saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Peuplingues booed when Cuvat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brice Ribet didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Armand Vallin came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Peuplingues fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armand Vallin couldn't finish the play. Alex Floquet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Tempier having to interfere. Anthony Tempier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armand Vallin in the 90th minute of the match. Anthony Tempier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Floquet in the 94th minute of play. Armand Vallin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cuvat's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
