The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Jean-Charles Ringot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Longvic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cabris the free kick. After 3 played minutes Longvic got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Charles Ringot. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Jean-Charles Boussin sped through Longvic's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Robin Gravelle. Philippe De Freitas might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robin Gravelle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Philippe De Freitas ran back to his position shaking his head. After 12 played minutes Cabris got a freekick which was hit by Cédric Duru. Adrien Coulaud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Lucien Chausson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Cabris's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Patin came free, but Lucien Chausson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Karl Patin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philippe De Freitas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Cabris's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jean-Charles Boussin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Karl Patin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucien Chausson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrien Coulaud in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Longvic's goalkeeper Robin Gravelle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience was convinced that Philippe De Freitas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robin Gravelle was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Philippe De Freitas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cabris walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
